DME Oman sets new record for physical delivery volumes

Continuing its strong start to 2017, the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME), the premier international energy futures and commodities exchange in the Middle East, has achieved a new record for physical delivery with 36.8 million barrels of Oman crude oil scheduled for delivery through the Exchange in March 2017. The latest figure surpasses the previous record of 29.9 million barrels for February 2017 delivery.
The physical delivery record marks yet another milestone for DME which only last week reported a new open interest record of 40,505 lots for its flagship Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract following January 2017 trading activity.

After an attempt to save this year’s edition of the CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival by pushing it back a month and moving the location from downtown to the Rochester Institute of Technology campus in Henrietta, the event’s producers announced Monday that they were canceling the event.
Organizers said the festival would now be postponed by nearly a year to June 17-25, 2022 although it was not immediately clear where it would be staged.
“We will be back next year and are committed to making every effort to move forward in downtown Rochester and also explore expanding the festival with programming at Rochester Institute of Technology,” co-producer Marc Iacona said.

LAFAYETTE, La. â Registration is now open for the 2021 Miles Perret Cancer Services Triathlon.
The mini triathlon is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 28th.
Proceeds from the event will support Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS) and its mission to help local families fight, survive, and live with cancer.
The 2021 Triathlon begins at 7:00 am at Bourgeois Hall and includes a 200-yard swim, 8-mile bike, and a 2-mile run.
MPCS says the event is for all fitness levels, whether you are new to triathlons or an experienced athlete. Participants can also sign up as an individual or relay team.

Ontario just opened up its COVID vaccine booking system to scores of new people in the province as the government takes another huge step toward expediting its previously far-too-gradual rollout.
As of 8 a.m. on Monday, all those 18+ who live in one of 114 designated hotspot postal codes will finally be able to book their first shot at a mass clinic through either the provincial online booking system or that of their local public health unit.

THE Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) is recommending a variation of price clause be included for government projects to reduce the burden of contractors being affected by current building material inflation.
CIDB chief executive Ahmad ‘Asri Abdul Hamid said including it during the movement control order (MCO) period would also guarantee projects are finished on time.
